One of the best parts about doing what we do here at The Pewter Plank is the occasional interaction we get to have with Tampa Bay Buccaneers players past and present.

Another great feature is that we get to share some of these candid moments with all of you Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans and discuss matters even further.

Well, today, we get to add Joe Hawley to the list.

Coming on the “Locked on Bucs” podcast, hosted by Pewter Plank co-experts James Yarcho and David Harrison, Hawley discussed several things including what he’ll be doing with his free-time now that his playing days are over.

For those who don’t already know, the former lineman is preparing to set out on a cross-country trip through this great country of ours.

On the way to – well – nowhere in particular, he hopes to see some national sites like Mount Rushmore and connect with as many people as he can along the way.

He’ll be blogging and video blogging about his journey as well and is in the process of setting up both a website and YouTube channel.

However, this wouldn’t be a Tampa Bay Buccaneers site, and LOB wouldn’t be a Bucs podcast if we didn’t talk football, right?

We did just that. Hawley gave us his insight into last season, how the team looks moving forward, and even provides his take on quarterback Jameis Winston.

It was a great episode to record, and we look forward to hearing much more from Joe in the future. Catch the episode below, let us know what you think, and come back for even more news and conversation about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!

David Harrison is one of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Co-Experts for The Pewter Plank. You can reach him about this or any other NFL topic on Facebook, or on Twitter.
