The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made their final selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. At least currently. So barring any further trades back into this year’s selection meeting, we now have our draft class for the year.

Jack Cichy is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie after being taken in the sixth round out of Wisconsin.

Cichy is a prospect with extremely high upside. Coming into the 2016 NCAA College Football Season, the Badgers linebacker was expected to be one of the better ones in the entire Big Ten Conference.

Unfortunately, he tore a muscle in his chest and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season after starting seven games.

2017 brought more bad news as a torn ACL forced him out for the entirety of the year.

When you see Cichy play, there’s no doubting the talent which lives inside of him. The question is only about his body.

Will he be able to withstand NFL punishment following the injury struggles he had in college.

Good news is none of his injuries were repeats. So, it’s feasible the injuries were simply bad luck for Cichy and not signs of possessing a body not willing to withstand an NFL career.

Taking him in the sixth round is a great investment cost for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they risk losing out on the 202nd selection in this year’s draft, but stand to gain a serious player at a position of strength if his body holds up.

How do you all feel about the selection of Jack Cichy, and how do you feel about the class in general?
