The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released a video introducing the interesting family of Ali Marpet.

Ali Marpet was a fan favorite from the moment he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015. An interesting story about a guy who came out of division three Hobart and dominated the Senior Bowl who had now become a second round pick in the NFL draft, coming to Tampa Bay to help protect fellow draft classmate Jameis Wiston.

Back when the Bucs were doing their daily radio shows on 620 WDAE, the fan favorite was the Ali Marpet and Donovan Smith show, hosted by Casey Philips. The chemistry between the two, the friendly banter made for by far the most entertaining of the five shows each week and made Marpet an even bigger fan favorite.

One of the favorite moments of that show? Whenever Marpet would begin talking about his family.

Marpet’s father works in the fashion industry while his mother was in a band. On Tuesday, the Bucs released a brief video diving even more into Marpet’s family, including his siblings, and just how diverse this family is was truly a fun watch;

The Marpets have been very active within the fan community, showing up to tailgates and pre-gaming with Buccaneers fans. Now, the fans have gained a little insight into their world.

There couldn’t be a more diverse group of people living under one roof, but somehow the Marpets make it look fun and interesting.

Hopefully we get more from the Marpets – and the return of the Donovan and Ali show – as the season ramps up. Until then, Marpet’s return to guard from the one year center experiment has fans excited about the improvement at the position as well as how he and new center Ryan Jensen gel along the interior of the line.
