Vita Vea and Ronald Jones II are among the highest rated rookies in the upcoming Madden 19 video game.

EA Sports wasn’t kind to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they released team ratings for Madden 19.

However, the developer does see big things from the Bucs 2018 Draft Class. Both Ronald Jones II and Vita Vea were among the top-rated rookies when Madden 19 released some ratings on July 3.

Vea garnered a 79 rating and the only defensive lineman rated higher than him was Denver’s Bradley Chubb.

"“Vea is a beast of a run stopper. His 97 Strength blasts him up towards the strongest in the league. Like most rookie DTs, he doesn’t have the Power or Finesse move to break passed the line too often, but his size and power provide more than enough to disrupt the run.” – Dan Williams, EA Sports"

Jones cracked the top-five for the running back position, coming in at 77 overall. According to EA Sports, Jones has the highest speed out of the entire crop of running backs, with a 93 rating. He also has one of the best juke ratings in the game.

Clearly, Jones will be an elusive back who make players look foolish with flashy moves rather than trucking through defenders.

Jones was in a video which featured, rookies reacting to their Madden ratings. He took it pretty well compared to some of the other players.  Take a look:

Of course, it’s only Madden. This doesn’t determine how well either of these guys will play next season. It is however another nod to what has become a well-regarded draft class for general manager Jason Licht.

Madden gamers, especially those who are itching to start a new franchise with Tampa Bay, will be pleased with the highly rated newcomers.
