In a recent ranking of receiving corps in the NFL, Tampa Bay’s group just missed the top ten.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiving corps is one of the deepest in football.

Mike Evans. DeSean Jackson. Adam Humphries. Chris Godwin.

Take a look at NFL rosters, and try to find a more talented group in the league. Well, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers receivers didn’t get any love from Randy Gurzi over at NFLSpinzone.com.

In his rankings of every receiving corps in the NFL, Gurzi slated the Bucs in the 12th spot, just behind the Chicago Bears.

Let’s compare the Bears four receivers to the Tampa Bay names mentioned above:

Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Kevin White.

There shouldn’t be an argument between these teams. The Buccaneers corps blow the Bears’ group out of the water. Still, this has become some what of a trend of late. The Buccaneers weren’t mentioned in NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks’ rankings.

The Pewter Plank’s David Harrison broke down his thoughts on the ranking.

From a national standpoint, it’s shocking to see the lack of recognition. Little blame can be placed on the receiving corps for the offensive struggles the Bucs faced last season.

Last season, Evans racked up over 1,000 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Jackson and Humphries combined for 111 catches for 1,299 yards. Throw in Godwin’s 525 yards, it is an impressive quartet.

Perhaps their quarterback is the biggest question mark for the Buccaneers wideouts. They aren’t in great hands with Ryan Fitzpatrick to start the season, either. However, he proved to be solid with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, both of whom had over 1,000 receiving yards back in 2015.
