Buccaneers 53-man roster projection 3.0
By Ryan Doyle
Following their second preseason matchup, the Buccaneers hinted at some movement in their depth chart. Here’s the latest roster projection.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster continued to take shape in their second preseason contest against the Tennessee Titans.
Injuries have taken their toll on the Bucs early on. On the positive side, most of the injuries are minor, but it may cause chemistry problems as some haven’t been able to suit up.
The banged-up roster has opened the door for some unknown players. Undrafted rookies and players who entered camp as afterthoughts are making their push towards the final roster.
After a pair of games, heated battles on both sides of the ball are beginning to come together. With only a spot or two left at wideout, a couple of rookies are making their presence felt. On defense, a few linebackers have separated themselves from the rest of the options on the team.
At the same time, some areas are complete mysteries. The running back position remains unsolved, and the offensive line rotation has one pivotal battle yet to be determined.
The practice squad projection will also debut in this edition. It appears the Bucs will be able to stash some big-time preseason performers to open the season.
