The Defense

Defensive tackles –Gerald McCoy, Beau Allen, Vita Vea, Mitch Unrein (4)

Defensive ends – Jason Pierre-Paul, Vinny Curry, Noah Spence, Will Clarke (4)

Linebackers – Lavonte David, Kwon Alexander, Kendell Beckwith, Adarius Taylor, Devante Bond, Jack Cichy, Riley Bullough (7)

There’s some movement at this position. The backend of the linebacking corps is difficult to predict. The Athletic’s Greg Auman mentioned Adarius Taylor has locked up the fourth linebacker spot, but the rest of the rotation needs to be sorted out.

Cornerbacks – Brent Grimes, Vernon Hargreaves, Carlton Davis, M.J. Stewart, Ryan Smith (5)

The only changes here would be on the depth chart. M.J. Stewart had a terrific performance during Week 2 of the preseason. Both rookie corners are becoming training camp stars.

Ryan Smith probably makes this roster as a reliable veteran. He may have fallen behind both rookies in most fans eyes, but coaches typically trust veterans more in the beginning of the season.

Safety – Justin Evans, Chris Conte, Keith Tandy, Jordan Whitehead, Josh Robinson(5)

Specialists – K Chandler Catanzaro, P Brand Anger, LS Drew Ferris (3)

It was a relief to see Chandler Catanzaro nail three field goals against the Titans. It would be a shock to see any changes from this group.
