As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head into the regular season, let’s break down the team’s three strongest position groups.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will begin their 2018 season in just a few days when they travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints.

Tampa Bay settled its roster a few days ago, and there are some reasons to be excited about this year’s team. The offense should be able to put up points, and if a young secondary can get through their growing pains early, there’s a path for the Buccaneers.

Not many experts around the league are high on the Bucs. Typically picked to finish in the basement of the NFC South, Tampa Bay’s outlook heading into this season isn’t a positive one.

However, there are reasons to be optimistic about the 2018 campaign. The Bucs sit with one of the most talented groups of pass catchers in the NFL. If Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jameis Winston are going to be successful, they need to be surrounded by weapons and that is what general manager Jason Licht has done.

The defense also features a talented linebacking corps which will see even more success with an improved supporting cast. Stars like Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander can shine even brighter this year.

There are strengths on both sides of the football for the Buccaneers. While they haven’t earned the respect of the national audience, they could be back in the spotlight if these three position groups live up to their potential.
