Buccaneers defensive line vs. Eagles offensive line

Defensive lines can truly determine the outcome of a game. The Bucs may be without defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul so others will need to step up in a big way.

There’s no doubt that Vinny Curry and Beau Allen provided plenty of insight during the week about their former teammates. The Eagles offensive line is tremendous. Jason Peters and Lane Johnson are stalwart tackles and Jason Kelce continues to perform at an elite level.

After struggling to pressure Drew Brees last week, getting after Nick Foles will be the difference. Foles is prone to chucking up ducks if there are players in his face. With a beat-up secondary, the Bucs defensive line needs to be at their best.

Buccaneers linebackers vs. Eagles pass-catching running backs

Alvin Kamara torched the Bucs linebackers in the passing game. The Bucs can’t give up those dump off passes all game. Doug Pederson is a great offensive coordinator, and if the Bucs keep giving him those short passes he will take it all game long.

Darren Sproles and Corey Clement slip out as receivers often and have the ability to burn past an entire defense. Defensive coordinator Mike Smith needs to plan for the Eagles receiving backs.
