The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveled to Chicago and dropped a second straight loss, bringing their record to 2-2. How was the stock of their players affected by the crushing loss?
Yikes. That one was…ugly. It feels like the entirety of Buccaneer nation is shell-shocked in the hours following the teams’ 48-10 pistol-whipping at the hands of the Chicago Bears. Hearkening back to embarrassing losses from years’ past at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals, this game was about as bad as it gets. Players injured, coaches outclassed, and the entirety of the franchise humiliated. Fun times for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
The collective Buccaneer stock has plummeted overnight. Several defenders have stock that even the boldest of investors wouldn’t touch, and their briefly vaunted offense appears to have several of the same tendencies that last year’s group had. We’ll start by going over the bad, and then lead into the bye week on a positive note with the guys who found a way to boost their stock this week.
