Sit ’em

Bucs tight ends

O.J. Howard will be cleated to play, but he did suffer an MCL sprain just two weeks ago. The Bucs feature another talented tight end in Cameron Brate.

Add on to the fact that Brate and Winston have a strong rapport; both tight ends may steal each other’s targets, making them a tough fantasy play. Even with a favorable matchup in Atlanta, it would be best to see how this tight end situation plays out with Winston under center.

It’s worth keeping either Tampa Bay tight end on your bench for now, but patience is key here.

Bucs running backs

At this point, there isn’t a Buccaneers running back worth keeping on a roster at this point. Ronald Jones will garner more attention and split a struggling backfield even more.

Starting running back Peyton Barber’s high-mark of the season came in Week 1 with a 6.9 point performance. Although he gets the bulk of the team’s touches on the ground, his volume hasn’t translated to any success.

Jones is a player to keep an eye on, but he isn’t even worth a roster spot yet. His inability to catch passes out of the backfield limits his value and he has plenty of work to do to gain the trust of the Tampa Bay coaching staff.
