QB Jameis Winston

Overall, Winston played just fine against the Falcons. He threw for 395 yards, completed 30 of 41 passes and added four touchdowns.

Still, Winston left points on the table. He threw a terrible interception in the end zone and missed on most of his deep throws. It was a good day for Winston, but the defense accentuates his mistakes.

Again, improvement is needed mostly because the defense is atrocious. Winston cannot afford to make mistakes. If he does, it will mean even more points for the Browns.

If the Buccaneers plan on winning this week, Winston needs to be better. It’s certainly not fair to him, but Winston needs to shoulder more of the load for the Bucs to have a chance.

The Buccaneers are using the rest of the season to figure out if Winston is indeed a franchise quarterback. Carrying Tampa on his back with crazy offensive numbers will prove his worth and land him a massive contract.

Up to this point of his career, Winston hasn’t been able to accomplish that quite yet. He can change the narrative this week.
