The Buccaneers will be thin at defensive line with both Vinny Curry and Gerald McCoy unavailable. Check here for all of the Bucs vs. Browns inactives.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the inactives for their Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, and the defensive line will be without a pair of starters.

Both Gerald McCoy and Vinny Curry will not suit up for Sunday’s contest, leaving behind a massive hole in the trenches.

McCoy’s absence will be a great opportunity for rookie defensive tackle Vita Vea. The first-round pick has played in the last few games but hasn’t made much of an impact. An increased workload could mean more production for Vea.

Tampa Bay will be at full health in the secondary as both Carlton Davis and Jordan Whitehead will be able to play. Despite their struggles so far this season, the young defensive backs can take advantage of a rookie quarterback and gunslinger in Baker Mayfield.

Here is a list of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers inactives:

DT Gerald McCoy

DL Vinny Curry

QB Ryan Griffin

RB Shaun Wilson

OL Alex Cappa

Mike Liedtke

DE Demone Harris

DT Gerald McCoy

DE Vinny Curry

Great sign for Noah Spence, who will be active today as Tampa Bay deals with a handful of injuries along the defensive front.

Browns Inactives:

CB E.J. Gaines

WR Rashad Higgins

LB Joe Schobert

QB Drew Stanton

WR Da’Mari Scott

DT Carl Davis

For the Browns, the loss of Joe Schobert stings. He is a solid middle linebacker with 23 total tackles on the season.

Cleveland monitored center J.C. Tretter closely all week, and he got the nod to play today. A big plus considering McCoy‘s absence.
