The 2018 season is over for Kwon Alexander. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may need to find a mid-season replacement. Here are five candidates who can try to fill the void.

The win on Sunday redeemed lackluster performances for many Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, but it won’t save Kwon Alexander‘s 2018 season.

During the Buccaneers contest against the Cleveland Browns, Alexander suffered an ACL tear that will force him to miss the rest of the campaign.

The former Pro Bowler was in line for a massive contract extension and a bright future in Tampa Bay. That will be put on hold.

In the meantime, the Buccaneers need to figure out how to replace Alexander. The only move Tampa has made thus far is re-signing former undrafted free agent Riley Bullough.

To try and mask Alexander’s absence, the Buccaneers could look to the free agent market or call up teams to try and make a trade. The remaining free agents feature a few blasts from the past looking for a new home to finish their storied careers.

If the Bucs opt to trade for a replacement, there are a few teams that are looking to sell talented players for draft assets down the road.

There will be avenues Tampa Bay can look towards to try and fill the hole Alexander left behind. Here are five potential replacements at middle linebacker.
