With Week 9 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 2018 season now upon us, it’s time for some midseason awards.

As is typically the case for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they won’t have any players brought on stage at the NFL’s annual award show.

They don’t have an MVP candidate, a rookie of the year candidate, breakout player of the year candidate, or a coach of the year candidate.

With that said, we can still hand out those awards to players exclusively on the Buccaneers. We’ll surely do it when the season wraps up, but why not check in on the status of those awards at the midseason point?

While the Bucs don’t have a pool of players worthy of league-wide awards, they still maintain some legitimate stars who are undoubtedly worthy of team-oriented accolades; there’s quite a bit of competition at several award spots. Starting with “breakout player of the year” we’ll work our way through six different categories before capping it off finally with the team’s MVP. Let’s get started!
