QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

The hope was that the Buccaneers might win a single game while Fitzpatrick took the reigns over the first three weeks in the season.

It didn’t take long to realize that Fitzpatrick wasn’t only able to lead Tampa Bay to a pair of victories, but he brought much-needed hope to the 2018 campaign. Quickly, the dream vanished.

After an embarrassing 48-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 4, Fitzpatrick moved to the bench. However, it didn’t take long for his return, and he started right where he left off against the Carolina Panthers last week.

Even with the stellar numbers so far this season, Fitzpatrick isn’t a franchise option. His age and inconsistency make it hard to believe he will be with the team for much longer, but without him, Tampa Bay would only have one win this season.

He isn’t a superstar, but he is having the best season of his career, if that isn’t a surprise, what is?
