LB Lavonte David

What else is there to say about Lavonte David?

Undoubtedly the best player on the Tampa Bay defense for the past six seasons, David is one of the best linebackers on the league. Sadly, no one knows he exists.

The Buccaneers lack of success keeps him out of the national spotlight despite performing at the same level as stars like Luke Kuechley and Bobby Wagner.

On the season, David racked up 71 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and a forced fumble. The defense is awful, but that doesn’t fall on David. He continues to be a staple for Tampa Bay and will go down as one of the best players in franchise history.

The Buccaneers fanbase is one of the most tortured groups in the NFL. The one thing that separates Bucs fans from fans of the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions, is a Lombardi Trophy.

There’s no doubt throwing rings at opposing fan bases is a cheap way to win an argument, but at this point, that’s all Tampa Bay fans have. The franchise hasn’t made the playoffs in over a decade.
