Another week, another loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What are the biggest takeaways from their Week 11 loss?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2018 season has rapidly spiraled out of control. Arguably their worst loss to date, the Bucs were unable to defeat the lowly New York Giants.

Eli Manning and his star-studded weapons torched the Buccaneers defense and Ryan Fitzpatrick dug Tampa into a deep hole in the first half of play. Jameis Winston fought valiantly and managed to rally the Bucs back into the ball game.

It was another case of too little, too late. The Giants would hang on and win, 38-35. After four straight losses, the fan base is begging for change and have already begun to look towards next season; a clean slate.

The FitzMagic is over

It was fun while it lasted, but Fitzpatrick’s time as the Bucs starting quarterback is over. His three-interception performance, coupled with a loss provides little reason to trot him out next week.

Fitzpatrick has lost his last three starts. It made sense to turn back to Fitzpatrick after his performance trying to clean up Jameis Winston‘s mess against Cincinnati. But it was Winston who cleaned up Fitzpatrick’s mess against the Giants.

Tampa Bay is out of the playoff picture now. 2018 has now become a lost season. The remainder of the year should focus on Jameis Winston. The Bucs need to see if he can still become the franchise quarterback.
