Jameis Winston looks sharp

Jameis Winston was in control on Sunday. He took what the defense gave him and didn’t force any throws. He completed 76 percent of his passes for 312 yards and a pair of touchdowns — the stat that jumps out the most, zero interceptions.

Winston made some plays that not many other quarterbacks could. Always under pressure, he escaped sacks and delivered the ball downfield.

His best throw of the day came in the fourth quarter. Winston was on the run, and he chucked the ball across his body to an open Adam Humphries. The play would end in six when it should have been a sack for San Francisco.

Now, Winston wasn’t perfect. He couldn’t connect with DeSean Jackson and continued to struggle with accuracy down the field. Still, it’s something to build off of with five games left to play.
