Chris Godwin, Adam Humphries shine

With DeSean Jackson sidelined, the Bucs offense didn’t skip a beat. Both Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries more than made up for Jackson’s absence.

Godwin hauled in five passes for 101 yards and a touchdown while Humphries added seven catches and a score of his own.

James Bradberry took Mike Evans out of the picture yet again; it was up to Godwin and Humphries to carry the load.

Jackson’s future in Tampa is indeed in doubt. As Godwin and Humphries perform well, Jackson’s future gets cloudier and cloudier. Due north of $10 million next season, the Bucs may decide to spend money elsewhere.

Humphries fits exceptionally well in the slot and Godwin has improved seemingly every week. Add O.J. Howard back into the mix next season and the Bucs have four capable receivers.
