TE Cameron Brate

Cameron Brate opened the season behind O.J. Howard on the depth chart, getting a few targets a game. Somehow, Brate has overtaken the team lead in touchdown catches.

Brate caught two passes on Sunday, both for touchdowns. Jameis Winston has tremendous chemistry with Brate in the red zone. It was apparent on Sunday.

Winston looks for Brate often in the scoring area, but Brate was only targeted four times for the entire game.  The awful play up front limited Winston’s time in the pocket all day, but Brate’s sure hands should be more of a factor.

Brate’s impact was limited, but for an offense which only gained 279 total yards, Brate was the lone bright spot.
