The Buccaneers stay close to home and add tackle Jawaan Taylor from Flordia to be Demar Dotson‘s heir apparent.

Tampa Bay’s offensive tackle situation is bleak. Donovan Smith isn’t a reliable option, but it might be the only one general manager Jason Licht has. The tackle market is thin and the finding a top-tier tackle prospect outside of the top five of the Draft may not be feasible.

Take into account Dotson’s age, and the Buccaneers will have to address the tackle position at some point.

Taylor could slide in at guard to start his career and transition to tackle when the Bucs are ready to move on from Dotson. It solves an immediate problem, and it also fills a need for the future.

Tampa Bay’s offensive line has been one of the team’s biggest disappointments. They spent big money on Ali Marpet and Ryan Jensen on the interior, so the attention must turn to the edges to help protect Jameis Winston.
