Taylor Rapp is one of the top safety prospects in the 2019 class. He may not be a player the Bucs are going to look at in the first round, but at the top of the second round, Rapp would be a terrific get.

Rapp would slide in as a versatile safety who can move all over the field in a secondary that needs help all over the place.

When offenses spread Tampa Bay out, Rapp can play centerfield and cover. If teams go heavy, Rapp can play near the line of scrimmage and sniff out running plays.

Finding a reliable contributor to man the safety spot opposite of Justin Evans should be a big help for the secondary. The Bucs can no longer rely on replacement level veterans like Chris Conte or undrafted free agents to man the position.

Although rookie Jordan Whitehead had an impressive rookie season, adding one more piece to the safety group could finally solve the problem at the back end of the Buccaneers defense.
