WR Tyrell Williams – Los Angeles Chargers

If Tampa Bay is priced out of the Adam Humphries sweepstakes, they could look towards Los Angeles Chargers wideout Tyrell Williams to fill the void in the slot.

At first glance, Williams doesn’t appear to fit the mold of a prototypical slot receiver. He stands at 6-foot-4 and has blazing fast speed. However, Los Angeles frequently had him in the slot running crossing patterns trying to beat the defense horizontally.

His speed is something Tampa Bay lacks on the outside. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are physical receivers while Williams beats his man with his quickness. He may not bring the same qualities as Humphries did, but both options produced around the same level this past year.

Last season, he caught 41 passes for 653 yards and five touchdowns. With the emergence of Mike Williams, the Chargers may not necessarily need for Tyrell Williams’ services in 2019.

The Chargers do have the cap to bring him back, so no matter which receiver Tampa Bay may target in free agency, they could be in for a bidding war.
