CB Pierre Desir – Indianapolis Colts

After bouncing around the league, Pierre Desir was arguably the best defensive back on the Indianapolis Colts last season.

Desir started in 12 games, forced a pair of fumbles, intercepted a pass and broke up 10 passes. Out of nowhere, Desir became a starting caliber outside corner, and he was making just under $2 million.

Now entering unrestricted free agency, Tampa Bay could add a veteran cornerback to start opposite Carlton Davis in 2019.

Cornerback has been a popular pick among early Mock Drafts for the Bucs. The problem with that would be forcing two young cornerbacks to cover some of the NFL’s top receivers like Michael Thomas and Julio Jones.

Deciding to address the need via free agency may be the way general manager Jason Licht chooses to go. Desir hasn’t garnered many headlines up to this point, but he will be on Tampa Bay’s radar in March.
