EDGE Aaron Lynch – Chicago Bears

As a rotational defensive end, Aaron Lynch was a solid contributor for the vaunted Chicago Bears defense in 2018.

Typically known as a pass rusher, Lynch’s numbers don’t jump off the page. He had three sacks and 17 total tackles. However, he was a staunch run defender, something he has displayed for the past two seasons. According to Pro Football Focus, Lynch was the sixth-best defender against the run.

If Tampa Bay can get a solid defensive end for less than $5 million per year, it should be a no-brainer. Lynch can play on early downs and help against the run. He finds success occasionally as a pass rusher, but if he is a rotational player, he could help keep Jason Pierre-Paul fresh.

Injuries are a concern for Lynch, however. He has missed at least three games every season since 2015. If the Bucs are confident that he will enter the 2019 campaign with a clean bill of health, he could provide more depth to a unit that needs to improve.
