S Tre Boston – Arizona Cardinals

In what was an extremely quiet safety market, Tre Boston was forced to sign an underwhelming one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals last season.

Now set to hit free agency again, Boston’s solid 2018 season should give teams enough reason to lock him up on a multi-year contract. Over his past two seasons, Boston has intercepted eight passes, made 158 tackles to go along with 17 passes defended.

A true centerfielder, he would be able to roam the backend of Bowles’ defense. He will allow Justin Evans to play more in the box to cover opposing tight ends in the middle of the field.

Boston isn’t a flashy player. He isn’t a big name like Tyrann Mathieu or Earl Thomas, but he has produced as a reliable safety option.

If Tampa Bay isn’t willing to break the bank by signing one of the available stars, look for Boston to be an under-the-radar target at safety.
