Kwon Alexander

Jason Licht should back the truck up now and give Kwon Alexander what he wants. An explosive, athletic backer who plays well against the run and the pass cannot be low balled in this league as they are hard to find. This would be a risk, however, considering the middle linebacker is coming off of a torn ACL. This is a risk that the team should make to keep a fan favorite and splendid community member around.

In his four seasons on the team, he has played to the tune of one Pro Bowl selection as well as stuffing the stat sheet. Six interceptions and 22 pass breakups, a massive number for a linebacker, show his value against the pass. Alexander also has recorded six forced fumbles, seven sacks, 380 tackles, and 31 tackles for loss during his time in Tampa.

Not to mention that Alexander is still only 24 years old; he could realistically sit out another full year and still be in the heart of his prime, assuming he fully recovers from his knee injury. While the roster is in complete overhaul mode, the Bucs should do what it takes to keep Alexander’s familiar face in Tampa Bay.
