4.5: Kaleb McGary OT Washington

With their fourth round pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Kaleb McGary, offensive tackle, Washington.

It would not take a long of work in the film room to notice that the offensive line of the Buccaneers is in need of a rather large infusion of talent. Expect the team to tag starting left tackle Donovan Smith, but 34-year-old Demar Dotson is more than likely on the chopping block and set to become a cap casualty this offseason. This leaves Tampa Bay in need of another tackle, and obviously that player is not on their roster right now.

McGary, another Senior who earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl for his 2018 season is a mid-round flyer for the Buccaneers to keep an eye on in the upcoming draft. Playing all four years with the Huskies, McGary displayed durability and dependability along the Washington offensive line along with Trey Adams and hopes to bring that same level of consistency to the NFL.

Standing at a massive 6’8 and 325 pounds, size is not an issue for McGary, but rather his footwork and strength to be able to shield off professional pass rushers. He falls to the Bucs here early in the fourth round, and Tampa Bay gets a much needed piece to add to their struggling offensive line.
