7.1: Khalil Hodge LB Buffalo

With their seventh round selection, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Khalil Hodge, linebacker, Buffalo.

Kwon Alexander has not been a quiet subject this offseason, and with his impending free agency after a 2018 season where he tore his ACL, it is about 50/50 as to whether both sides will be able to reach an agreement on a new deal. With that being said, the Bucs are going to have to address the middle linebacker position this offseason.

Good news for Tampa Bay is that Lavonte David is still playing at an elite level, and Kendell Beckwith is returning from an ankle injury that sidelined him for the entire 2018 season, making the linebacking position less of a glaring need. In a weak linebacker class, the Bucs add a potential sleeper here in the seventh round in 6’1 and 235 pound Khalil Hodge.

Next. Markus Golden likely to hit free agency. dark

The three-year starter at Buffalo tore apart MAC competition, tallying over 120 tackles in all three seasons with the Bisons. In addition, he has tallied a total of 21 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions, and forced three fumbles throughout his collegiate career. Looking to bump his stock at the Combine, keep an eye on the bulky 235 pound linebacker from Buffalo this weekend.
