Looking at in-state prospects that could be a fit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the draft, here are three Miami Hurricanes that could be on their radar.

In the first part of a three-part series of potential products from Florida universities, this writer takes a look first at the University of Miami and potential Hurricane prospects that could be a fit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In typical Miami fashion, the U has multiple prospects set to hear their name called at the NFL Draft throughout the three-day event at the end of April, as six prospects alone received invitations to make the trip to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine.

The Buccaneers must look at these in-state prospects closely as bringing them in for a visit will not cost Tampa Bay an official visit. With only six picks, Jason Licht and his team must nail the draft in order to add talent through the draft, especially considering the team will only have $3 million in cap space once the franchise tagging of Donovan Smith becomes official.

Hoping to follow in the footsteps of Hurricane greats such as Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, and Sean Taylor, this year’s class of draft hopefuls from the University of Miami should be highly touted, and even though none are projected first round selections, could be great value picks for teams in desperate cap situations such as the Bucs. Here are three prospects from the University of Miami that the Bucs need to take a close look at in this the 2019 NFL Draft.
