Free agency is approaching in one week, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a bind with the salary cap and must find bargain prospects in free agency.

Free agency is set to begin on March 13th, one week from today. After a disappointing 2018 season that left Dirk Koetter without a job and to the hiring of Bruce Arians, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to capitalize on the last season of Jameis Winston’s rookie season before they find themselves in an even bigger bind than they find themselves in now.

After re-signing starting left tackle Donovan Smith to a three-year extension worth nearly $13.75 million, the Buccaneers find themselves in a bind with the salary cap; Jason Licht has quite the task ahead of him to shed dead weight and infuse youth and talent at a discounted rate.

There have been swirling rumors that veterans Gerald McCoy, Demar Dotson and DeSean Jackson may be on the chopping block in order to clear cap space. However with the impending free agency of Kwon Alexander, Peyton Barber, and Adam Humphries, any money gained may be spent rather quickly.

Licht has been known to spend big in free agency, but without shedding some serious cap responsibilities, he will have to shop the bargain rack of players on the open market this offseason. Who are potential bargain players for the Buccaneers to target in free agency?
