Free agency officially kicks off this afternoon, and while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have worked well on a budget, who else could be on their radar?

The tampering period of free agency is concluding, and the floodgates of the market officially open at 4pm EST today. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have already locked down three free agent additions in safety/linebacker hybrid Deone Bucannon, wide receiver Breshad Perriman, and punter Bradley Pinion; more could be on the way.

The Bucs also managed to lockdown three players to contract extensions, as third string quarter back from 2018 Ryan Griffin signed a two-year deal, linebacker Kevin Minter and kicker Cairo Santos also agreed to stay in Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay’s cap situation remains unclear as the details of most of the deals announced yesterday have not been released yet, but one thing remains clear: the Buccaneers are still in a bind with the salary cap. However, cuts are still to be made and money will be freed up.

The tier-one free agents are called for and the storm has calmed down a bit; as the dust settles, many quality players remain on the market. There are plenty of players that could be at a price tag that the cap strapped Buccaneers can afford.
