Round 3, Pick 78 (via Miami Dolphins): Oshane Ximines, EDGE, Old Dominion

Using the third rounder earned in the trade back with the Dolphins in this scenario, the Bucs add another pass rusher to the rotation of Noah Spence and Shaq Barrett on the edge. Making him the first player in Old Dominion history to ever be drafted, the Bucs take Oshane Ximines in the third round.

While he did not test as well as many had expected him to at the combine, Ximines’s production is off the charts during his career as a Monarch. He finished his collegiate career with 32.5 career sacks and 51 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, the 6’4 and 255 pound pass rusher tormented opposing teams for four years.

Ximines is raw, but has all of the potential in the world. Putting him under the wings of Bowles and his staff, he could transform into an elite pass rusher at the next level. Figuring to contribute in a rotational role right away, Ximines would add some much needed relief for Spence and Barrett.

Again, completely theoretical as the Bucs do not actually own this pick, if Tampa Bay were to execute a trade down with the Miami Dolphins, adding the 78th overall pick is a logical bargaining chip. Here, the Bucs turn that chip into a pass rusher.
