Round 4, Pick 107: Mecole Hardman, WR, Georgia

Losing Adam Humphries to the Tennessee Titans in free agency last week, the Bucs find their replacement here in the fourth round in the form of Georgia’s Mecole Hardman. The shifty 5’10 speedster would give Jameis Winston another offensive toy and fill the void left by Humpries’ departure.

Running a 4.33 40 yard dash at the combine, Hardman ranked in the 95th percentile of all wide receivers, and even with his size put up an impressive 17 reps on the bench press. While he ranks in the bottom 20th percentile in size, Hardman makes up for that in speed and route running saavy.

Adding him to an already talented wide receiver group, Hardman joins Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Breshad Perriman as those who figure to contribute in a significant role for the Tampa Bay offense. Having the speed and twitch to separate from linebackers and safeties, Hardman would make a great weapon for Arians to utilize in the slot.

Here with the 107th overall pick, adding another game-changing playmaker to the offense after going very defensive heavy early on is a nice transition for the Bucs. While adding Perriman this offseason, the void in the slot still remains; it is a hole that Hardman could fill for the Bucs in 2019.
