Round 6, Pick 208: Michael Jordan, IOL, Ohio State

After locking down both offensive tackles in Donovan Smith and Demar Dotson for the 2019 season to pair with Ali Marpet and Ryan Jensen, there remains a glaring hole at the right guard position. However, after selecting Alex Cappa in the third round of last year’s draft, it looks like the job is his to lose.

This may buy the Buccaneers a bit more time before needed to invest a valuable, early round pick on an interior offensive lineman. Here, Michael Jordan from Ohio State is the selection in the sixth round for the Bucs.

Jordan slid all along the offensive line for the Buckeyes in his career, proving that he is both athletic and versatile enough to adapt to the needs of the environment around him. He projects more of an interior offensive lineman in the NFL, and would fit the bill for what the Buccaneers could need for 2019 and beyond.

Should the injury bug hit the offensive line in Tampa Bay in 2019, Jordan could figure to be the versatile plug-and-play swing lineman for the Bucs. With the 208th pick, taking a flyer on a versatile, athletic lineman in need of some molding, would be a wise investment.
