Devin White

Devin White is the obvious candidate to go to the Buccaneers at the fifth overall pick to replace the void left by Alexander, who just left to sign with the San Francisco 49ers. White confirmed that he met with Tampa Bay officials at the combine as well and stated he would love to play in Tampa Bay.

More from Bucs Draft

The linebacker lit the combine on fire, running a blazing 4.42 40 yard dash and nearly jumping out of Lucas Oil Stadium, coming up just shy of 40 inches on his vertical jump. The 6’0 and 237 pound linebacker has all of the potential in the world to become a franchise altering linebacker such as Luke Kuechly and Bobby Wagner have done for their respective franchises.

While White’s film shows that he is a bit raw, putting him in the hands of Todd Bowles will be a huge boost and go a long way towards his development. A versatile backer who plays well against the run and the pass, White is a real threat to land in the top-five, unchartered territory for a linebacker. Given the need, Tampa Bay has White on their radar and he is a real threat to become a Buccaneer once April rolls around.
