Round 6, Pick 208. Michael Dogbe, DL, Temple

As the rumors are still alive and well about McCoy’s future in Tampa Bay, general manager Jason Licht must add depth to the interior just in case. Already with Pierre-Paul, Carl Nassib, and Noah Spence who could all potentially play as an interior defensive end in Bowles’ 3-4 defensive scheme, some depth behind them would be ideal if the team decides to part ways with McCoy.

Michael Dogbe out of Temple would be an ideal choice here in the sixth round for the Buccaneers, giving them an athletic big man to add to their defensive line. Dogbe did not receive an invitation to the combine earlier this month, but put on a show at his pro day last week and has impressive film while in an Owl uniform.

The 6’3 and 284 pound interior defensive lineman hit an impressive 34 reps on the bench press and followed it up by running a 5.06 40 yard dash, right around the range of the likes of Dre’mont Jones and Dexter Lawrence. While he is not along the same heights of talent or draft stock as the two mentioned above, Dogbe would make a solid rotational piece for a lucky team that snags him, and here the Buccaneers make themselves that team.
