Round 4, Pick 107: Miles Boykin, WR, Notre Dame

The opposite of Polite, Miles Boykin from Notre Dame may have done the most to improve his draft stock than any other player in the 2019 draft class. Boykin went from a rather overlooked prospect to the absolute most athletic receiver in the class. Measuring in at nearly 6’4 and 220 pounds, Boykin would give Winston another big player to throw to.

He blew away the combine at the beginning of March, testing in the 98th and 99th percentile in the vertical and broad jump respectively. He then ran a 4.42 40 yard dash, ranking him in the 83rd percentile of all receivers in the 2019 draft class, and ran a 4.07 20 yard shuttle, putting him in the 86th percentile in that drill; Boykin also tested in the 77th percentile in the 3-cone drill.

With Breshad Perriman on only a one-year deal, Boykin could be an ideal figure to put outside the numbers in Perriman only sticks around for the 2019 season. In addition, Arians loves to deploy big bodies in the slot, doing so with Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona, and having intentions to do the same with Chris Godwin in Tampa Bay. Boykin has the athletic ability and agility to give the Buccaneers offense another option who can also play inside the numbers.
