The pre-draft process rolls along as the top two linebackers in this year’s draft class both have visits scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to Adam Schefter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scheduled pre-draft visits with both of the top linebackers in the 2019 NFL Draft class, Devin White and Devin Bush. This should come as a surprise to nobody who follows the team as they have not done a great job of hiding their affinity for White, while Bush remains a solid option if the Buccaneers trade out of the fifth overall spot.

White, the Butkus Award winner for the nation’s best linebacker in 2018 while at Louisiana State, has recorded two straight seasons of over 120 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and three sacks. He has also recorded one interception during his career with the Tigers while forcing four fumbles.

In two years as the starting middle linebacker for the Michigan Wolverines, Bush tallied a total of 172 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks in his career. He added an additional interception and 11 passes defended to his stat sheet as well.

Both White and Bush set the combine ablaze after their performances, running a 4.42 and 4.43 second 40 yard dash respectively. While White is projected as the better prospect between the two linebackers, the margin between the two has become razor thin.

With the departure of Kwon Alexander and the uncertain future of Kendell Beckwith, the Buccaneers could potentially be without two of their starting linebackers from just two years ago. Adding either one of the Devins would give Tampa Bay a ton of talent to plug and play right away in the middle of their defense.

With less than one month to go until the NFL Draft, the visits will begin to pile on for the Buccaneers. They start with the top-two middle linebacker prospects both named Devin who could strap up for the pewter and red in 2019.
