Round 5, Pick 145: Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M

It seems like the fifth round is always the round in these mocks where the Buccaneers add another running back. This mock draft is no different as the Buccaneers nab Texas A&M running back Trayveon Williams with the 145th pick in the draft.

Tampa Bay does not currently have a running back on the roster that can catch the ball out of the backfield, as both Jones and Barber struggle in that aspect of their game. Williams caught a total of 66 passes over his three years at Texas A&M and looked natural doing so.

In addition to catching those 66 passes for 561 yards and a score out of the backfield, Williams also tallied almost three straight 1,000 yard seasons on the ground. In 2018, Williams had a monster season, rushing for nearly 1,800 yards and scoring a whopping 18 touchdowns running the ball.

At the combine, Williams did not test off of the charts to any degree, but did hit 4.51 seconds on his 40 yard dash, putting him about on par with the rest of the group. Here in the fifth round, the Buccaneers add their third back to the group in Williams.
