Round 3: Blake Cashman, Minnesota

Having the opposite pre-draft process of Wilson, Blake Cashman from the University of Minnesota has shined over the past month and a half. Before the combine Cashamn was relatively unheard of, but after testing off of the charts, he put his name on the map.

Now, after teams have gone back and watched his film, Cashman may have a problem even reaching the third round of the draft. At the combine, Cashman ran a 4.51 40 yard dash with elite splits at the 10 yard and 20 yard mark, hit nearly 38 inches on his vertical jump, ten feet on his broad jump, and ran a sub-seven second 3-cone drill.

In 2018, Cashman burst onto the scenes with 104 tackles, 15 of which came behind the line of scrimmage, and two and a half sacks. In his career, Cashman tallied 31 tackles for loss and 12 sacks from the second level of the Gopher defense.

Cashman goes in the third in some mock drafts, while he lands in the second in others, so he may not last until the third round. If the Buccaneers are still looking for a linebacker in the third round and Cashman is still on the board at the 70th pick in the draft, then this would be a home run selection.
