Miles Boykin, Notre Dame: Redshirt Junior (6’3/225)

Miles Boykin is a bit of a late bloomer who was used sparingly until the 2018 season. Prior to last season Boykin played in 13 games totaling 18 catches for 334 yards and three touchdowns. He was also the MVP of the 2018 Citrus Bowl after racking up three catches for 102 yards and the game winning score. Last season was beyond productive for Boykin who played in 13 games totaling 59 catches for 872 yards and eight scores.

Boykin decided to ride this momentum in hopes to be selected in the NFL draft and will forego his final year of eligibility. Boykin, due to limited playing time is not a well-rounded wide receiver at this point of his career and has a very limited route tree, struggling when pressed at the line of scrimmage. Boykin is a player that excels best when he can run a vertical route and takes the top off of opposing defenses and can make a play.

While limited as a wide receiver, Boykin does have excellent hand skills and is great at winning 50-50 balls. Boykin projects as a day-three pick and could be a contributor early as a deep threat and a special teams player. Boykin should take a couple years to reach his potential but this can possibly be a great DeSean Jackson replacement.
