Dare Odeyingbo, DL, Vanderbilt

The second defensive lineman added to the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent is Vanderbilt defensive tackle Dare Odeyingbo. Given the current lack of depth at the position, Odeyingbo has a good chance to make the final 53 man roster before the season starts.

Starting his college career as a linebacker, Odeyingbo put on weight and moved to the defensive line after his freshman year at Vanderbilt. He had a monster junior year in 2017 with 13.5 tackles for loss and six and a half sacks. This past season however, he saw his numbers take a dip to just three and a half tackles for loss and two sacks. Having a knack to knock passes down at the line of scrimmage, Odeyingbo has tallied six passess defended as well.

At his pro day, Odeyingbo measured in a bit undersized at 6’1½ and 279 pounds, but ran an electric 40 yard dash. For a man of his size, Odeyingbo managed to run a 4.85 second 40 yard dash on a hand timer. Also impressive was his ability to hit right around the 7.2 second mark on his 3-cone drill and 22 reps on the bench press.

Again, Odeyingbo may have the best chance of the group to make the Buccaneers final roster due to the current depth along the defensive line. While it appears McCoy is not going anywhere, Tampa Bay needs more depth than just William Gholston, Beau Allen, and Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
