OLB Shaq Barrett

Arguably the biggest surprise on this list is new comer to Tampa Bay, veteran edge player and former Denver Bronco Shaquil Barrett. Barrett played in Denver from 2014-2018 after going undrafted coming out of Colorado State University.

Barrett played behind All-Pro linebacker Von Miller, rookie sensation Bradley Chubb and other great players over the last few years that has prevented him from getting starting opportunities. In 2019, he will be given the most reps he has seen in his career.

In his four seasons on the Broncos he only started 15 of the 61 games he has appeared in. Although he contributed primarily as a rotational player Barrett has totaled 151 tackles, 14 sacks and seven forced fumbles over his career. He is highly thought of in the Pro Football Focus circles (subscription required).

Given the opportunity to start in Todd Bowles 3-4 scheme, Barrett will be able to showcase his abilities to the fullest. Barrett chose to sign with the Bucs because he saw the opportunity to shine due to the guys currently on roster. Barrett has yet to become a household name outside of Colorado, so he will need to really perform at a high level to grab the attention of fans across the country.
