Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Top 5 players currently on the roster
By Dylan Grimm
The tides are turning for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and after a massive overhaul this offseason, who are the five best players on the roster?
Every offseason brings in new faces and sees familiar ones find new homes. This current offseason we have seen the Tampa Bay Buccaneers go under a massive face lift. The longtime face of the franchise in Gerald McCoy has been released, veteran wide receivers Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson have both moved on to new homes, and middle linebacker Kwon Alexander is now a San Francisco 49er.
All of these players had potential to crack into the top-five players on the Buccaneers’ roster, but now they are top talents for other teams. While some of the most talented players on the Buccaneers’ roster are still in Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers will need to rely on new names such as Deone Bucannon, Breshad Perriman, and Shaquil Barrett.
The two most recent newcomers to the roster are the all pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and rookie linebacker from Louisiana State, Devin White. These two players are set to be the leaders of the defense as the season inches closer.
This season is set up to be an interesting and polarizing one. New head coach, a ton of roster turnover, and hopefully a new era in Buccaneers football heading into the 2019 season. With the addition of these two guys and departure of others we will take a look at who the top five most talented players on the roster are heading into the 2019 season in no particular order.
