LB Devin White

Devin White, yes the rookie linebacker by way of LSU that the Bucs just selected with the fifth overall pick makes the list. He has yet to play a single down at the NFL level but many look at Devin White as one of the most NFL ready linebackers the draft has seen in recent years.

As a freshman at LSU, White played sparingly but really made a name for himself in his sophomore season. As a sophomore White led the SEC with 133 tackles which was the fourth highest in school history. White would finish the season earning all SEC honors and second team All-American.

Heading into his junior season White was considered a top linebacker in the country and he proved exactly that last season. White finished the year and a consensus All-American, was all SEC first team and won the Butkus Award for being the best linebacker in the country. White also won SEC Defensive Player of the Week four times in a row which is a conference record.

White showed at the combine that he’s got elite speed for his position after posting a 4.42 second 40 yard dash. He has the rare ultra-athleticism for his position that allows him to make tackles and plays all over the field. White is expected to be a day-one starter and should be a frontrunner for defensive rookie of the year.
