Question Six: The surprise standouts

Who are some standouts at OTAs and mini-camp who could make a splash this season?

Auman also mentioned Murphy-Bunting again here, however the two undrafted free agents mentioned are the highlighted duo of this discussion.

Wide receiver Anthony Johnson:

"“Some had thought would be a third or a fourth round draft pick and he goes undrafted. He has made plays and benefited a lot from injuries at receiver that probably gave him more work with the ones than he would usually get. Him and DeMarkus Lodge are both really impressive as undrafted rookie receivers. There will probably be a good chance [the Bucs] will carry six receivers and if they did, one of these guys will have a good chance to make the team.”"

Edge rusher David Kenney:

"“He is a cool story because he has been out of football since 2015… He is from Indy and worked out up there and was able to get himself in shape and earn a try out and impressed at the tryout. He is still right there on the bubble to even be talked about to make the 53, but he has really been a cool story who has gotten consistent praise from the coaches.”"
