Most Valuable Player: QB Jameis Winston

This is quite the hot take, but if there is one thing that is well documented since Arians took over as the head coach of the Buccaneers, it is that he is a big fan of the former number one overall pick back in 2015. There is no doubt that Winston has all of the talent in the world, but his problem has been from the neck up and between his ears.

Winston, positively, has avoided any off-the-field issues this offseason and seems to be moving towards the right direction as the season is set to begin in less than three months. The Florida State product has shown he can sling it over his first four years, totaling 88 total touchdowns and nearly 15,000 yards passing, but he has also shown a tendency to force turnovers as well, with 58 career interceptions.

If Winston can cut down on the turnovers in 2019, Arians should give him all the tools and support necessary to succeed. With a new blocking scheme up front, the Buccaneers should be able to run the ball better and protect Winston as well.

Quarterbacks get all of the love in the league, and if Winston has a solid season in Tampa Bay, then he will not only get a healthy contract extension, but also be crowned as the most valuable player on the team. 2019 is a make-or-break year for Winston, and he may finally live up to the hype with Arians steering the ship.
