In honor of the NBA Draft, here is a look back at the NFL Draft for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with what we do now about the roster and player performances.

The NBA and NFL drafts are vastly different beasts. In the NFL most first round and second round players can be instant starters. In the NBA if a player falls outside of the lottery they could easily find themselves in the G League to start their career. While these processes could not be more different from one another, in the spirit of the NBA draft here is a breakdown of the NFL draft for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers several months removed.

Despite any roster moves or changes, linebacker and fifth overall pick Devin White is still the guy. This has been a fact that has been known for months, and after seeing how the Buccaneers handled the Gerald McCoy situation it becomes clear that Lavonte David could receive similar treatment next season leaving White as the star.

Devin White has been everything that was expected of him and more with his energetic personality, his athleticism, and of course his horse Daisy Mae. While some people may have wanted the likes of Josh Allen with that first round pick, Devin White fits this team like a glove and will have the potential to follow Buccaneer great Derrick Brooks.
